Simon Cowell was forced to take a break from deciding on the next X Factor judges Saturday... because a woman used a brick to break a window and get into his London home!
We'll let Simon's rep, Max Clifford, explain what happened via the statement he has released regarding the incident:
"There was a loud bang and Simon rushed
upstairs to find out what was going on. It came from the bathroom so he
went in and there was a woman standing there holding a brick. She had
smashed her way in through the window and it was unclear how long she
had been there or what she was doing."
The producer's security team swooped in, TMZ reports, and detained the intruder
- Leanne Zaloumis, 29, believed to be a crazed fan - until British
police arrived and arrested the lady for trespassing, along with
intention to inflict grievous bodily harm upon a person therein.
"It was a very frightening experience for Simon, who told me it was like something from a horror movie," Clifford said.
