Jersey Shore Season 6: It's On, With Pregnant Snooki!

Thought Snooki's pregnancy would derail Jersey Shore? Think again!
When Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi confirmed she's expecting a baby, many assumed that the MTV reality series, which just wrapped its fifth season (in just over two years' time), was kaput, officially, or at least destined to lose the Snook.
No. Season 6 is a go, with the full cast in tow. Fist-pump/head-slap!

The show will return again to the STD-friendly confines of Seaside Heights, N.J., where the gang will venture into "uncharted territory" this time around.
A press release from MTV, confirming the new season today, reads:
"While things will definitely be a little different this time when they hit the boardwalk, their trademark hilarity and family dysfunction will remain the same."
That's putting it mildly. Say a prayer for the unborn guido/ette.
Incidentally, Snooki's baby, her first with fiance Jionni LaValle, isn't due until the fall, so that leaves time for plenty of pregnant partying this summer.

Katy Perry Covers "N---as in Paris" in UK

Katy Perry is straight up gangsta.
On her whirlwind UK media tour, the bubbly, blue-haired singer cranked out a rendition of ... the Jay-Z and Kanye West collaboration, "N**gas in Paris."
Anyone see that one coming? No?
Katy Perry stopped by BBC Radio 1 in London for the performance, during which she substituted the word "ninjas" for the ... similar sounding titular word.

Dancing With the Stars Season 14: Who Will Win?

The 14th season of Dancing With the Stars kicks off tonight.
The cast has been criticized by some for its lack of star wattage, but it's going to be an interesting group in which so many memorable performances are given and various storylines / controversies will emerge - like the previous 13 seasons.
That said, who do you think will hoist the Mirror Ball?

With this group of athletes, actors, musicians and relative unknowns waiting to break out, it looks like anyone's game. The madness begins tonight on ABC.

Jon Hamm Defends Kim Kardashian Kritique as "Accurate"

Leave it to Kim Kardashian to hijack the hype for season five of Mad Men.
With that four-time Emmy Award-winning drama returning to AMC this Sunday, Jon Hamm and other cast members were interviewed this morning to Matt Lauer. But the conversation veered from one point from the future of Sterling, Draper, Cooper and Pryce to Hamm's comments this month about our culture's obsession with "stupidity" and Kim's role in it.
Kardashian then replied and referred to the critique as "careless" because, hey. she's a successful businesswoman!

"I don't think they were careless; I think they were accurate," the actor said. "It's a part of our culture that I certainly don't identify with, and I don't really understand the appeal of it other than in a sort of car crash sensibility, and it's not something that I partake in or enjoy, but it is what it is, and here we are."

George Clooney Speaks Out After Arrest: They Kill People...

George Clooney is a free man, and also a talkative one, as the Oscar winner appeared on Fox News Sunday yesterday just two days after he was arrested outside the Sudanese Embassy in D.C.

Clooney came out and accused that nation's president, Omar al-Bashir, of "bombing indiscriminate, innocent civilians with Antonov planes" and added:
"They kill people, but more than that, they're keeping them hiding in the rocks, in the caves, so that they can't farm, and they miss their planting season this year. This is the oldest society in the world, if you read the Bible. These people have been there forever, and now they're not going to be able to feed themselves coming up in the next few months."
The star speaks from first-hand experience and says he has no regrets over Friday's arrest.
"I grew up in a family that believed that your job was to be involved with your fellow man. You have a responsibility to participate in the human condition, one way or another."
