Justin Bieber graduates from high school and makes us all feel ancient

Wow, so this has made us feel old. Old and unsuccessful. 18-year-old Justin Bieber has just graduated from high school. And in case you didn't realise, he's already the most famous and successful teenager on the planet.
The high school graduate said of his whopping achievement, "I just finished high school. I passed my test - I'm free! It was hard work doing school and work every day."
No kidding. Apparently he carried on with his school work even though he could technically afford to go and live in a solid gold castle throwing solid gold rocks on unwanted visitors for the rest of his life. Why bother? Well, because his mum (or mom), Pattie Mallette, wanted him to have a "back up plan".

Biebs said, "School was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her.
"I mean, this kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life. I've been able to travel the world. At school, usually you have to do a lot of writing and reading. I'm really not into that stuff. I like to be out there!"
Let's recap: "at school usually you have to do a lot of writing and reading. I'm really not into that stuff." Yet he still managed to work hard enough at all his school stuff while being an internationally successful pop star. We feel a bit depressed, we'll be honest.
He just performed his new single Girlfriend on the final of the US version of The Voice and apparently it went down a storm. As it would - he's a consummate professional even though he's only 18.
Do you want to know what we've achieved today? We just managed to whistle the entire EastEnders theme tune without taking a breath.
We're absolutely thrilled that we went to school.
