Tim Tebow Draws Thousands to Easter Sunday Church Service

Whatever you think of Tim Tebow, you can't doubt his sincerity.
On Easter Sunday, nearly 15,000 worshipers flocked to Celebration Church in Georgetown, Texas, to hear the newest New York Jet speak at that morning's service.
Churchgoers gathered in fields for a music-filled outdoor service, with people flocking from miles around to hear and see the deeply devout Christian football star.
During the service, the former University of Florida star turned NFL sensation, who was recently traded, joined the pastor on stage for a 20-minute interview.
"It's OK to be outspoken about your faith," said Tebow, the son of former Baptist missionaries who became known for wearing Bible verses on his eyeblack.
Tebow good-naturedly talked about the craze known as "Tebowing," noting that he's done it for the past seven years now and doesn't mind being parodied.
It means prayer is being talked about, he says, which is what matters.
Tebow recently reached out to the church's pastor, Joe Champion, about visiting his congregation, and Easter Sunday happened to the best date for the football star.
On a typical Easter, the church attracts about 10,000 people, Champion said. So Tebow proved a big lure for people who would otherwise not have come.
"In Christianity, it's the Pope and Tebow right now," Champion told the congregation on Sunday morning. "We didn't have enough room to handle the Pope."

Unfortunately as long as he's plying NeNe with fancy shoes and Rolex watches, she'll keep taking his calls even if she looks wildly uncomfortable sitting next to him. 

Cynthia's working on The Bailey Agency model search and from the look of that line outside everyone and their ugly sister thinks they can be a model. Minus 10. 

However I did think it was amusing when Cynthia chastises a girl for wearing shorts that barely cover her butt while Cynthia is sitting there practically falling out of her top.

The Hunger Games Surpasses $300 Million at the Box Office

Two more cannon shots were heard around the country this week, as The Hunger Games defeated a pair of widely hyped newcomers to wear the box office crown for the third week in a row.

Neither American Reunion nor Titanic 3D were any match for Katniss and company: the big screen version of Suzanne Collins' novel earned $33.5 million on Friday and Saturday to become the sixth-fastest film to reach $300 in domestic receipts.

At this pace, The Hunger Games is on target for a final U.S. gross of between $360 million and $370 million.

A 10-year-old Colombian girl gave birth to a healthy baby girl

A 10-year-old Colombian girl gave birth to a healthy baby girl, making her one of the youngest mothers ever.

The unnamed girl from Manaure, a town in the Colombian Department of La Guajira, arrived at the hospital in tears and "enormous pain" from the contractions, according to  Univision's Primer Impacto. She reportedly delivered her daughter, who weighed 5 pounds, by cesarean section.

Experts say a C-section delivery for such a young mother is not unusual.

"The baby's head needs to come through a bony outlet. But in a young girl, the pelvis may not be ready or big enough to deliver a baby," said Dr. Kimberly Gecsi, an OB/GYN at UH Case Medical Center in Cleveland.

Extremely young mothers also have a higher risk of pregnancy-induced high blood pressure known as preeclampsia, and their babies are at risk for fetal growth restriction, according to Dr. Frederick Gonzalez, a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center.

"These girls are not ready to be pregnant. Their bodies are not mature," said Gonzalez. "They may be able to get pregnant, but being able to have a baby is a whole other situation."

The new mom is a member of the Wayuu people, an indigenous tribe in northern Colombia. The age of the father is unknown, but police can't press charges because the tribe has its own jurisdiction, according to local reports.

"We've already seen several cases [of pregnancy] in girls of the Wayuu ethnicity," Efraín Pacheco Casadiego, director of the hospital where the girl gave birth,  told RCN La Radio noticias. "When in fact [the girls] should be playing with dolls, they are having to care for a baby. This is shocking."

Pregnancy can occur as soon as a girl starts ovulating, which is happening at ever younger ages.

"The average age girls in the country start menstruating is about 12 and a half, but that age keeps dropping," said Gecsi, adding that the age is even lower among Hispanic girls. "But only about 13 percent of Hispanic girls menstruate younger than 11. And for them to have a sexual experience would be very unusual."

Because ovulation precedes menstruation, girls can get pregnant before ever having a period.

"Typically, menstruation is the last thing that happens in puberty," said Gesci, adding that girls typically go through a growth spurt and develop breasts and pubic hair before menstruating. "If you notice those things, you could be about to menstruate and you could get pregnant."

California Student in Relationship With Teacher Moves Out After Sexual Assault Arrest

A California student who left school, her family and her friends to live with her teacher boyfriend has ended the relationship after the teacher was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting another girl 14 years ago.

"He called me from jail and yes, I told him that we're done," Jordan Powers, 18, told ABC News in an exclusive interview. "I lost everything for this guy. I lost my senior year. I gave up all my friends at high school because they didn't agree with me."

James Hooker, 41, was arrested in Modesto, Calif., on Friday after police discovered he had an an alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student in 1998.

Hooker has been under investigation for his involvement with Powers, his former business class student, with whom he appeared on national TV programs earlier this year to profess his love.

Hooker was charged with one count of oral copulation with a minor and is in jail, according to a statement from Modesto police.

"He told me that he met her online and he hung out with her just as friends and then he went to her house and she came out of the bathroom naked and he only touched her boobs and her legs," Powers said. "He was freaked out so he left and went home. He said nothing else happened, but all of that was a lie."

Despite the charges, Powers said nothing happened romantically between her and Hooker prior to her 18th birthday.

The teen said she believed the woman came forward now to help her see the truth about Hooker and rescue her from the relationship.

"My heart dropped. I felt betrayed. I just have a gut feeling there are other girls," Jordan Powers said.

Her mother, Tammie Powers, has publicly tried to end the romance from the beginning and expressed relief at Hooker's arrest.

"It's my contention all along that he used authority and that he's a predator," she said.

But a reconciliation between mother and daughter isn't happening just yet.

Jordan Powers said she is staying with a family friend in another state while she recovers from her heartbreak.

"How could he lie to me for all these months and look me in the eye and tell me he loves me?" she said. "I don't know how someone could have such a cold heart."
